Class Description

At Heartbeat, our class format for Heartsaver courses is based on the American Heart Association Guidelines and certification is valid for 2 years. For your convenience, classes are available 7 days a week and maybe held at your location or place of business. We can assure that you will find this class to be one of the most informative and enjoyable classes that you will ever take.

One-on-One Training
One on One training is an individual training class offered to anyone that is unable to attend one of our regularly scheduled training classes or any group class. At your convenience, you will have the option to set up a one on one class with an instructor at your home or place of business.

Heartsaver First Aid Class
This class offers a variety of medical emergency situations from simple nose bleeds to serious emergencies like stroke and heart attacks and will also include how to identify critical patients.  Optional class modules will include, hands on training in applying splints and bandaging, Environmental emergencies and various techniques on when and how to properly relocate your patients if the need arises.

Heartsaver CPR/AED Class
This class is not like your average CPR class. It will cover the most up to date CPR techniques and include a brief but very informative lecture on how the heart works in relations to heart attacks and heart disease. In addition, you will be trained and certified on how to use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This valuable portable defibrillator used to convert the heart in cardiac arrest was at one time only available to firefighters and paramedics. Defibrillators are currently being implemented in places such as airports, shopping malls, health clubs, public schools and other businesses through out the country. AED training is now a standard part of your CPR class.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Class
This class is a combination of the two classes listed above.

BLS Healthcare Provider Class
This class is designed for all licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals, including: nurses, physicians, medical assistants, respiratory therapist, EMT'S and other allied healthcare professionals. The course covers first aid, foreign body airway obstruction, AED, CPR skills using ventilation mask with barrier devices and oxygen.

Blood Borne Pathogen class
This class available to the public, is designed to inform the trainee about the risk and types of infectious diseases contracted through exposure, how to prevent exposure and universal precautions, and proper methods of handling Biohazards and potential contaminants.

Heartsaver Pediatric First aid class
This course provides training for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies pediatrics, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches for sports organizations and others. This course contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.

We offer one-on-one skills testing for First aid, CPR and Healthcare Provider online courses. Just contact our office to set up an appointment.
